Abstract

Adolescent girls are a group that is prone to anemia. In Indonesia, the incidence of anemia is still quite high. This is influenced by the habit of consuming iron tablets that are not optimal. This study aims to determine the relationship of compliance with blood supplement consumption tablets to the incidence of anemia in female adolescents. The method used is analytic with a cross sectional approach. Using a total sampling technique, 113 final year adolescents attending SMK N 1 Rengat were used as research respondents. Data were analyzed using the chi-square test. Based on the results of the study, the adherence of adolescents in consuming iron tablets was disobedient, namely 75.2%. The majority of young women have anemia, amounting to 66.4%. It can be concluded that there is a relationship between adherence to taking iron tablets and the incidence of anemia in young women at Rengat 1 Public Vocational School in 2022 with a p-value of 0.00
