Background: Exclusive breastfeeding coverage in Indonesia remains suboptimal, reaching only 52.5% among infants aged <6 months (Riskesdas, 2021). One of the major contributing factors is hypogalactia or insufficient breast milk production. Traditional use of Polyscias scutellaria (mangkokan leaves) as a herbal galactagogue is common, although scientific evidence remains limited. Objective: This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of health education combined with the consumption of P. scutellaria leaves in improving breastfeeding knowledge among postpartum mothers. Methods: A quasi-experimental pretest–posttest single-group design was applied. Nineteen breastfeeding mothers received structured breastfeeding counseling and consumed mangkokan leaf infusion for 28 days (3 g dried leaves, twice daily). Breastfeeding knowledge was assessed using a standardized questionnaire at pretest (T0) and posttest (T1). Results: The mean knowledge score increased significantly from 60 (pretest) to 95 (posttest), with a mean difference of +35 or a relative increase of 58.3%. This indicates that the intervention effectively improved maternal knowledge. Preclinical evidence supports the lactogenic potential of P. scutellaria, including increased prolactin and oxytocin levels and improved mammary gland histology in animal models. Conclusion: Health education combined with mangkokan leaf consumption significantly enhances breastfeeding knowledge among mothers. Further randomized controlled clinical trials are needed to confirm the efficacy and safety of P. scutellaria in directly increasing breast milk production.
Dwi Pratiwi KasmaraYulinda Aswan

Stunting is a chronic nutritional problem that impacts child growth and increases the risk of degenerative diseases, including coronary heart disease. Prevention can begin early through nutrition education, healthy breakfast habits, physical activity, and consumption of iron tablets for adolescent girls. This Community Service Program was implemented at SMPN 1 Kampar with an Interprofessional Education (IPE) approach involving nutrition and midwifery professions. The activities carried out were pre-tests, breakfast together, physical activity in the form of gymnastics, nutrition education and post-tests. The media used were PPT, leaflets, booklets and posters. Target outputs include publication of articles in scientific journals and mass media as well as educational media that have been registered with HAKI. This program is expected to be able to form healthy living habits, prevent stunting from an early age, and reduce the risk of coronary heart disease in future generations.
Septi Indah Permata SariIrma Susan ParamitaDewi SeptianaHesti Atasasih

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a developmental condition that affects a child's ability to interact socially, communicate, and exhibit certain behaviors. Early detection is crucial in determining the effectiveness of interventions and improving the child's quality of life. This community service program is designed to broaden the understanding of parents and health center staff regarding the urgency of early autism risk screening through the Modified Checklist for Autism in Toddlers (M-CHAT). The program was implemented in Pekon Tambahrejo, Pringsewu District, involving 20 children aged 16 to 30 months and their parents. The implementation approach includes information sessions, M-CHAT form filling simulation exercises, active participant discussions, and pre- and post-tests to measure knowledge improvement. The program results showed an increase in participants' knowledge from 60% to 90% after education, reflecting the success of interactive learning methods. Based on the M-CHAT screening, all children examined showed “normal” results or were not at risk of autism. These findings indicate that education and training initiatives can raise public awareness of the importance of early detection of developmental disorders. In addition, this program serves as an example of the application of M-CHAT screening in maternal and child health (MCH) services at community health centers and integrated health service posts, thereby supporting promotion and prevention activities in the First 8000 Days of Life Program.
Erina Citra MutiaraLara Santriani SantrianiIntan Widia KusumaNadia Oktavia
